Migration from Shopware 5 to Shopify:
Avoria’s Shopware 5 store was nearly a decade old and contained a large dataset that required migration. The key requirement was to transfer only the last two years of orders, along with all products and customer data, to the new Shopify store.
Custom Design Requirements:
The client wanted a custom design that matched their reference shops while reflecting their own brand identity. The project required building a fully customized theme based on the client’s finalized Figma designs, translating the approved visuals into a functional Shopify store with multiple unique page layouts.
Compliance with Age Restrictions:
As a vape retailer, Avoria needed an age verification process to ensure only eligible customers could place orders, making this feature essential for legal compliance.
Product Bundles and Quantity Discounts:
Avoria wanted flexible sales configurations such as product bundles and quantity-based discounts. Implementing these features in Shopify while keeping backend management simple was another key challenge.

Shopify Store Setup and Configuration:
BrandCrock began by setting up a secure and scalable Shopify foundation, carefully configuring essential settings such as language, currency, tax rates, payment gateways, and shipping providers in a development environment.
Custom Shopify Theme Development:
A Figma design was created based on Avoria’s wishlist and references. Once approved, a custom Shopify theme was developed that included a unique homepage, category listing page, and product detail page, along with standard business pages like About Us, Contact Us, and Privacy Policy. This allowed Avoria to deliver a professional and consistent shopping experience without dealing with complicated layouts or design adjustments.
Data Migration from Shopware 5 to Shopify:
To make the transition smooth, BrandCrock developed a custom interface capable of interacting with both Shopware and Shopify via API. This interface imported customers, orders, products with variants, product media, and reviews directly into Shopify. It also generated log histories, which enabled the tracking of every imported record. By automating the process, BrandCrock removed the need for manual data entry and ensured complete accuracy.
Payment and Shipping Integration:
BrandCrock integrated the Multisafepay gateway, allowing Avoria to accept various payment methods, including PayPal, Sofort, Klarna, Amazon Pay, and Google Pay. Shipping providers were also configured to align with Avoria’s delivery setup, ensuring faster and error-free fulfillment.
Age Verification Feature:
An age verification field was implemented on the registration page to verify the customer’s date of birth before they could place an order. Flow logic was applied to automatically restrict underage users, ensuring compliance without adding extra steps to the customer journey.
Product Bundles and Discount Setup:
To meet Avoria’s sales needs, BrandCrock installed and configured third-party plugins that allowed product bundle creation and bulk quantity discounts. Both features were integrated seamlessly, giving Avoria flexibility in promotions while keeping store management straightforward.
